Fire Guts House in Belize City
A house was gutted by fire on Monday night in Belize City. The fire broke out after eleven o’clock in the CET Site area of Saint Martin’s in the Old Capital. The wooden house with zinc roofing was completely destroyed by the blaze. The owner, thirty-nine-year-old Daisy Foreman, was not at home when the fire occurred. The house was not connected to the grid, however, fire investigation have ruled that the cause of the inferno was due to abuse of electricity meaning that there was an illegal connection. The house is valued at about four thousand dollars and was not insured.
