Long distance runner can also sing

The competition was spirited and the judging was close, but in the end a single contestant emerged victorious in last night’s debut of Karaoke Television here on Channel 5.

Carr, who has also gained notoriety as one of Belize’s top long distance runners, won a two hundred dollar gift certificate from Courts, one hundred dollars and a watch from Channel 5, and a chance to compete in the semi-finals in two months time. Karaoke TV airs live every Tuesday at 9:00 and is repeated on tape Sundays at 5:00.
