A Security Guard is Mugged at his Worksite
In Belize City, security guard Denzel Halliday was also robbed of over a hundred and fifty dollars while on duty at the Belize District Education Centre on Mahogany Street Extension. Halliday reported to police that around three a.m. on December twenty-first, three men, one armed with a knife, entered the compound and held him up. They demanded the keys to the building, which he handed over. The thieves were unable to enter the building and as a result, proceeded to rob Halliday of his money. They then escaped with construction material from the compound. Luckily, Halliday was not injured in the incident. No one has been detained for this incident.

“Denzel Halliday, security guard reported that about three a.m. on Saturday, the twenty-first day of December 2019, he was approached by three male persons who asked for some keys and attempted to enter into the building he was guarding. They could not enter the building and he was robbed of a hundred and fifty dollars cash. Thereafter, the male persons made good their escape and they also stole some lengths of steel that were in the compound at the time.”
