Young artists perform Saturday night

Story Picture
The Young Artist Association is putting on a post Valentine show for romantic youths called “It’s All About Love.” Organiser, for the show, Neal Hall, says it’s a treat for the entire family.

Neal Hall, Organiser

“It’s all about love. Whether you’re in love, whether you were in love, whether your last love was a tragic love, whether your present love is so cherry that no one else can stand it, whether it’s so dull and dreary that no one else can stand it. It doesn’t matter, as long as it’s all about love. We’ll be modeling, rapping, singing, dancing, a bit of comedy about… love as the name implies.”

“The Young Artist Association is all about giving youths the chance to prove to everyone else, including other youths, that just because you’re a singer, a dancer, a rapper, it doesn’t have to be about violence, it doesn’t have to be about negativity. It’s all about extreme positivity in every light. Our goal is to heighten social conscience through the performing arts.”

And one of the more light-hearted performers you might get to see is Tomas Gongora, better known as “Anaconda.”

Tomas Gongora, Member, YAA

“The Young Artist Association is a very positive thing because it gives you something to do and also helps you to express yourself through the performing arts. Everybody has a talent and the Young Artists Association caters to everyone’s talent.”

Jose Sanchez

“What kind of groups can we expect to see at the concert?”

Neal Hall

“Well you can see very innovative and truly artistic groups such as The Clique, G-Kidd, who was a part of the “Henchmob”, but they are not in Belize anymore. We have Emory and King, who were on Gimme 5. We have Tania who will be dancing and I think choreographing the modeling. We have the entire gang of the Young Artists Association’s talented pool of artists doing every and almost anything imaginable that can be put even close to love”

Reporting for News 5, Jose Sanchez.

The concert will be held Saturday night at 7:30 sharp, at the Bliss. Prices are five dollars in advance and seven dollars at the door, however, there is a special price for kids.
