Electricity Rates to Remain the Same

There will be no adjustments to the electricity rate as had been requested by Belize Electricity Limited.  The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Public Utilities Commission which said that it had reviewed the Final Draft for Belize Electricity Limited’s 2019 Annual Review Proceeding Final Decision Amendment.  According to the P.U.C., B.E.L. submitted no amendments to the Mean Electricity Rate of forty-one point five one cents or any other tariffs, fees approved in the 2019 ARP Final Decision.  No adjustments were made and so the rate remains at forty one point five one cents per kilowatt hour which will be applied from January first to June thirtieth, 2020.
