This Valentines social for senior citizens may have been a day late, however, judging from the over fifty participants who dressed for the occasion, it was no less meaningful.
According to Veronica Gonzalez of the House of Culture, this is only one of the monthly social specials they sponsor.

“Normally we have musical entertainment. In the past they’ve seen videos on different parts of the country. We also have the contest in dancing, talent or whatever they do and we give them a snack and drink. We normally give at least three prizes: one for the best dressed, one for talent and for dancing cause the usually have a great time dancing.”
Gloria McKoy had a great time dancing. She won the contest.
