Are Charges Pending for Jumoke Castro?

Will charges be levied against Jumoke Castro, the son of Transport Minister Edmond Castro, for a vile social media post made against the News Director of Plus TV in Belmopan?  Shasta Wade, the wife of Pastor Louis Wade, has made an official report to the police department and is seeking recourse in the case of cyber bullying at the hands of the younger Castro, which occurred several weeks ago after the son of another minister was arraigned for domestic violence charges. Today, ComPol Chester Williams gave an update on the situation.

“I had a discussion with the D.P.P. this morning to get an update in terms of her legal research on that matter and we discussed certain things and she had asked that certain things be done. And so those directives that she has given me this morning, I will pass those on to the investigators to carry out. And once we have carried out those directives, then the file will be returned to her and then she is going to guide us in terms of how we proceed. But I am pretty much optimistic that something from a legal standpoint will be done.”
