PM Barrow Says Imer Hernandez “Came Out Smelling Like a Rose”
According to the Prime Minister, an I.D.B. audit on the infrastructural works of Imer Hernandez was concluded. PM Barrow says that Hernandez received a letter from the I.D.B., telling him that he is cleared from all allegations.
Prime Minister Dean Barrow
“I have received a copy of a letter sent to Mister Imer Hernandez by the IDB in respect to that audit that the Leader of the Opposition insisted be conducted, suggesting that something was wrong; a letter which absolutely clears Imer Hernandez and says think no more of it this matter is over and done with you are clear.”

“I have never found anybody who has been able to point to one project that has been successfully carried out, a project of high standards, a project by Imer Hernandez. Is that of concern to you?”
“We are not getting into that kind of argument because I am telling you the Leader of the Opposition just had the IDB audit this man and the man came out smelling like a rose. The reason why the Leader of the Opposition complained to the IDB is because has done and is doing work for the IDB, supervised by them. They obviously feel that Imer performs extremely well that is what they are saying. I will not take what you say some opinion you have from other people and put that above what the professionals at the Inter-American Development Bank say so make we close it off. We agree to disagree.”

“Did they audit the finances or quality of work?”
Prime Minister Dean Barrow
“Both. That was the complaint that this man was getting things and he can’t do good work and these people do not agree.”
