Cop Chopped in Cow Pen
A police officer was injured while confronting an armed man in Cow Pen Village. According to police, just before eight on Tuesday morning, the cops were called out to the village where they met sixty-seven-year-old Narciso Manzano, who reported that his son, twenty-six-year-old Byron Ramos, whom he has a protection order against, was assaulting his daughter and granddaughter. Ramos, who was carrying a machete in his hand, was ordered to place it down to the ground. Ramos didn’t comply and swung it towards Police Constable Michael Roches injuring him. A struggled followed after which the officer detained Ramos. He is expected to be charged.
