Man to be Charged for Chopping a Cop
A man is expected to be charged for the chopping of a police officer in Stann Creek. Police say that twenty-six-year-old Byron Ramos of Cow Pen village chopped a police constable when he responded to a report of an assault that was being committed by Ramos. “On Tuesday, the fourteenth of January 2020, at seven-forty p.m, Police Constable Michael Roches responded to a report in Cow Pen Village. He was then approached by a male person who threw chops at him and a struggle ensued. As a result, the police officer managed to run away and he received a chop wound on his arm. This person is in custody and will be charged for various crimes. He was responding to a report of an assault being committed on another person.”
