Many Questionable Characters Granted Belizean Nationality in 2013

The issue of Belizean nationalities being hurriedly granted to questionable characters was also a hallmark in the opposition leader’s statements on adjournment. Quite a number of Canadian and American nationals who received their Belizean passports under rush in 2013 turned out to have either been arrested, convicted or wanted for their respective roles in criminal activities. The granddaddy of them all is Canadian national Phillip Thomas Kirby who is said to have been involved in a six-billion-dollar securities fraud in his home country.
