Dangriga grocer robbed and shot
A Chinese grocer of Dangriga is at the Belmopan Hospital recovering from a gunshot wound, while the gunmen are on the run. Kyu Huan, twenty-five, told police that on Friday, he was in his shop, Gold Star, situated at mile one on the Stann-Creek Valley Road, when he was held up by two men and robbed of an undisclosed amount of money. As if that weren’t enough, Huan was then shot in the upper left part of his back by one of the two men, who wore a mask. The other robber carried a knife, but his face was not disguised. No arrests have yet been made.
