Bermudez was inside a store on Melinda Road when he was targeted by a lone gunman who shot Bermudez in the head. This is the latest murder that the police are investigating. This afternoon, prior to the murder, Commissioner of Police Chester Williams was asked to comment about the murder statistics for this month so far.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“This month has been going well. We have looked at our results from last year. We have done our analysis and through our analysis we have some what a twenty-twenty vision of 202. We are hope that those best practices that we have learned and adapted in 2019 that we can now enhanced those to be able to make our country safer. Really and truly to control or to contain the murders is not an easy task. I can tell you it is a really difficult task. It requires a lot of thinking. It requires innovation. It requires commitment, dedication. Not only on the part of me, but on the part of my officers and more so of my commanders.”
