Two-Month-Old Baby Boy Dies After Being Vaccinated

Police in Orange Walk Town are investigating the mysterious death of a two-month-old baby boy. Adriel Augustine died on Saturday afternoon, less than a day after being vaccinated at the Northern Regional Hospital. The mother, Melissa Castillo of San Estevan Village, told police that the baby was vaccinated on Friday. Soon after, baby Adriel developed a severe fever and died at the Northern Medical Plaza. The matter is being investigated by police and according to ACP Joseph Myvett; an autopsy will determine the cause of death.

“On Saturday sometime around two p.m. Orange Walk Police were called to the Northern Medical Plaza where they spoke to one Melissa Castillo, thirty nine years of a San Estevan Village who at the time was in the presence of her two-month old baby names Adriel Augustine who was seen motionless. What she reported was that on Friday last she had visited the Northern Regional Hospital in order for her child to be vaccinated.  Since then her child began suffering from high fever which caused him to then transport him to the Northern Medical Plaza on Saturday where he was shortly thereafter pronounced dead. The matter is being investigating at this point in time dependent on the post mortem results.  At this point in time we are waiting for the post mortem results to see where we go from there, whether or not it is sudden infant death syndrome or had something to do with the vaccine that the child received.”
