Shaquille Perrera is Injured in Drive-by Shooting

There was another incident of gun violence in the city on Friday night and fortunately the victim survived the attempt made on his life. Shaquille Perrera, a resident of Ramsey Street, was targeted in a drive-by shooting. As the twenty-four-year-old was walking home, he was shot at by a person from inside a vehicle that drove up beside him at the corner of Seagull Street and North Creek. Perrera was hit multiple times and was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in a critical condition. He is now stable and police are trying to find out what motivated the shooting.

“Around 10:15 p.m., police visited the K.H.M.H. where they saw Shaquille Perrera with gunshot wounds to the body. Investigation revealed that he was at the corner of Seagull and North Creek when he was fired upon by someone who was in a vehicle in the area. He is admitted at the K.H.M.H. un a stable condition at this time.”

“Sir, might this have been an act of retaliation? We had heard that he was linked with a murder that had happened some time ago on Raccoon Street.”

“Yes, there several theories out there; we are following up on them and as the days go by, investigators will try to determine who the suspect is.”
