Belize City Council to Focus on Streets
Mayor Wagner says that going forward the Belize City Council will focus on fixing and rehabilitating the condition of streets that have been obstructing the good quality of life of city residents. He says that these streets have been identified and with the revenue generated from the bond, the streets within city limits will be repaired. Contracts for these works, according to the Mayor, have been put out to tender.
Bernard Wagner, Belize City Mayor
“I know streets is one of the areas that we are focusing on. Streets. Streets. Streets. That is the area that we are prioritizing. We are now been able to put out to tender some of the streets we’ve find out there that have been an impediment to the quality of life to some of our residents. It is not some of the main streets but some of the streets that people have suffering for long. We have identified those areas. We cannot fix all those streets but those that we can’t fix we will still rehabilitate. But the main ones with the chip and seal, we have put out to tender.”
