All Hell Breaking Loose; Shyne Hits Back at Faber

All hell is breaking loose in an internal war in the U.D.P. which is ten days away from a convention to settle leadership. On Wednesday, DPM Faber, who is vying to become leader, posted a message referring to a convicted criminal in direct reference to Shyne Barrow, who is the moving hand behind the “Associated Belize Press social media page. Faber said he has never been convicted and has no ties to Lev Dermen. Today, Barrow hit back with relish, addressing his post to “The Arrested Woman Beater Aspiring for Leader….”  This is referring to a 2017incident in Ladyville. Barrow states, “When you were arrested for beating and choking two women, one of whom worked for you at the Ministry of Education. The victim statement to police was recorded, medical examination certified, but you claimed it was just an allegation. You were not fired based on an allegation.”   He goes on to list a host of other allegations linking Faber to the likes of William “Danny” Mason and Lev Dermen, making the point that allegations cannot lead to the firing of Saldivar, who he supports for leader.  It’s all playing out on social media.
