Another Murder Suspect is Charged

Corozal police have charged a Libertad resident for the stabbing murder of Juan David Mendez. The accused is Diego Onorio Correa, who is believed to have stabbed Mendez once to the body and left him for dead on a dirt road in Concepcion Village, Corozal. Mendez’s body was discovered on the morning of February second by his nephew, in proximity to where he was staying in the village. As we said, Correa has been formally arrested and charged, but on Monday, the Police Department had not determined a motive for the crime.
