Man charged with Attempted Murder of Stackle Monsanto
Twenty-one year old Ronlee Petillo will spend his Easter behind bars as he has been charged with Attempted Murder and Use of Deadly Means of Harm. Petillo is charged in connection with a shooting that occurred around nine on Euphrates Avenue on Tuesday night. But the man whom Petillo is accused of shooting has perhaps an even more colorful wrap sheet than the assailant in this case. This is the eighth time that thirty-one year old Stackle Monsanto has been shot. Only last year Monsanto was charged with Robbery, Escape and assaulting a police officer. His record before that shows arrests for robbery and theft, offenses for which he has spent time in prison every year since the early nineties. Monsanto claims he was walking on Euphrates Avenue when Petillo rode up to him on a bicycle and pointed a gun at his face. But Monsanto ducked and the bullet struck him in the right shoulder and exited his back. Monsanto started to run but the shooter fired several more rounds at him and a second bullet hit him in the left foot. He collapsed on Amara Avenue where police picked him up and took him to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for medical attention. Ronlee Petillo has been denied bail and remanded to the Hattieville Prison until May eighth.
