Fire destroys Belize City house
An early morning fire burned flat to the ground an abandoned two-storey house at number forty-eight East Canal in Belize City. An eyewitness who didn’t want to appear on camera said she heard a loud explosion around 4:30 this morning and saw flames bursting from the windows of the house. The northern section of a house next door was scorched along with the second and third floors of Belize Photo Lab’s building at the corner of East Canal and Bishop streets. Fire authorities say there were no casualties and have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
