Itinerary set for Jones visit
An itinerary has been finalised for the upcoming visit of Olympic superstar Marion Jones. The Belizean-American sprinter, perhaps the world’s greatest female athlete, will arrive at the PGIA on Tuesday at twelve-forty to be greeted by a delegation led by the Prime Minister. Over the next four days Jones will visit a number of schools nationwide, address a children’s rally and be conferred with the Order of Belize at a ceremony on Wednesday. Jones, born in the States to a Belizean mother, earned five medals, including three gold, at the Sydney Olympics.
