Holidays for 2001 announced by Govt.

The government has published its official list of public and bank holidays for 2001. Following New Year’s Day on Monday the next extra day off will not come until Baron Bliss Day on Friday, March 9th. The Easter Holidays run form April 13th through 16th, while Labour Day falls on Tuesday, May 1st. Commonwealth Day will be celebrated this year on Monday, May 21st and the 10th of September also falls on a Monday. September 21st, our 20th anniversary of Independence, falls on a Friday, as does Pan American Day on October 12th. The 19th of November, Garifuna Settlement Day, will be celebrated on a Monday, while Christmas and Boxing Day 2001, fall on Tuesday and Wednesday.
