Daron Gonzalez Gets Bail for Manslaughter

Daron Gonzalez, who was originally charged with Murder, was today granted bail after the charge was reduced to manslaughter.  Gonzalez, the man wearing locks in the video, is accused of setting a guesthouse in Hopkins Village on fire, in which Jorge Magana lost his life on May twentieth, 2018.  Police had claimed soon after the incident that Gonzalez had set some barrels under the guesthouse on fire with the intent to kill Magana and another man, but in court, the prosecution adjusted the charge to manslaughter. Attorney for Gonzalez, Senior Counsel Simeon Sampson secured bail of ten thousand dollars. Meanwhile, Brandon Cho, the man seen being escorted out of Court beside Gonzalez on the video, was also granted bail on two charges of aggravated assault.
