Will Patt Support Faber for Party Leader?

So with Patt not willing to offer himself for party leader, is he prepared to lend his support to Patrick Faber or any other interested candidate?  Here’s what Patt had to say about that prospect.

“Since you are not opting or considering at this point to offer yourself for candidacy for the leadership of the party, if any other member of Cabinet or the National Assembly were to offer him or herself, including the Honorable Patrick Faber, have you considered where you’d lend your support?”

On the Phone: Hugo Patt, Deputy Prime Minister

“You have a number of good candidates in Cabinet.  I think we, as a party, would still enjoy our very capable people who are able to manage the affairs of the country and, as I said, I have every trust and confidence in the outstanding performance of prime minister and any person who happens to become the next party leader elect will enjoy the fine services and advice of our now Prime Minister Dean Barrow.  And so that in itself is an asset and I think that anybody vying for this position and who happens to be elected will have that advantage on him or her.”
