More Safety Measures to be Implemented for Construction Workers

John Arana

According to Arana, since the Downtown Rejuvenation Project commenced four years ago, this is the first major incident that occurred. He says that safety measures for the workers will be boosted.

“We are concerned about what occurred and we are taking measures with additional safety measures such as harness and other items that are recommended.”

“Would you say that this brings to mind the necessity of the OSH Bill?”

John Arana

“Definitely the approval of the OSH bill is necessary. It will put responsibility both on the contractors and the laborers to ensure that safety is a priority on all side. We have been executing his project for four years and we have not had a major incident like this but this serves as a reminder and a lesson for all of us.”
