Police Investigation Can Also Free John Saldivar of Any Wrongdoing

According to ComPol Williams, the police will be working with various agencies and government departments, including the Financial Intelligence Unit and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, in the probe. Williams, however, says that the investigation can possible exculpate Saldivar of any wrongdoing.

“If it is at the end of the investigation the file will have to be sent to the D.P.P. to see whether or not a crime has been committed because remember an investigation is not only to show that a crime was committed. But it can also show that a crime was not committed so investigation can also be done to exculpate somebody and not only to show that the person is guilty of having committed a crime.”
