Canadian Retiree Robbed in San Pedro Town

A sixty-year-old Canadian retiree was robbed on February fifth in San Pedro Town. The Canadian national visited our studios to share his story. According to the victim, he befriended a Belizean woman in her early twenties a month ago. He gave her access to his apartment where she stayed for few weeks. But according to the report given to San Pedro Police, the retiree and his girlfriend got into an argument and the retiree left his apartment. Upon making checks, he realized that his wallet and personal identification cards were stolen.

“There was an argument and I said she was leaving with her stuff. I went to the front office not to let her back in. I helped her. She slept in a separate bed. I fed her. I clothed her. I gave her money to go see her mother. She told me she had breast cancer. She told me she had three kids. It was a total lie then I got upset. I went out. I forget my wallet and my passport. She ripped a page out of my passport and stole my wallet, my money and all of my IDs. Then she went to somebody else and did the same thing but only exchanged six hundred and fifty dollars U.S. of my money into Belizean money and then stole sixteen hundred U.S. from that man. She even stole clothes from me, two hoodies, two  t-shirts and a dress shirt.”
