Butane dealers accept $4 price hike
Homemakers who just yesterday were making emergency plans to cope with a strike by butane suppliers are tonight preparing hams, turkeys and fruitcakes for the oven. Although we have not been able to discover all the details, gas was back on sale today with dealers accepting, for the time being, an immediate four-dollar price increase. The cost of a hundred pound tank of butane in Belize City is now pegged at sixty-three dollars.
