Senate President Disappointed in Saldivar Scandal

Unlike a number of U.D.P. cabinet ministers and supporters, the President of the Senate says he is disappointed at what has come up in the Saldivar scandal. Bradley says right thinking Belizeans should not support what is illegal or unethical.

“As a person, who is a member of the United Democratic Party and as a Belizean, I have to put on record that I am disappointed. In all honesty, any person who looks at what’s going on, you cannot help but say you know what, that is not what descent Belizean would support. This is supposed to be about people, about poverty reduction, about opportunity and we should not be talking about—and I think we have too much conversations about this—about trying to stop politicians from doing things which everybody recognises is wrong. If not illegal, unethical.”
