Unidentified body washes up at Fort Point
As curious diners at the Radisson watched through the glass, a dead body slowly floated along the seawall off Fort Point. By one o’clock it had been recovered from the water by police, who are still trying to determine its identity.
Abner Rodriguez, Security Officer, Radisson
“I was eating at my lunch break right here in the booth, when two tourists came to me and said they saw something coming down. I asked them if they could more or less identify what is it? They said well it look like a body, so I told them I would look out for it. After I went there, I could identify that it was a man. That was about 12:45. Immediately I called management and I believe they called the police.”
The man was wearing a cream colored pants, green striped shirt and no shoes. Police say there were no signs of violence on the body, and while there were no papers of identification, the initials CJL were tattooed on the right inner wrist and there were several other tattoos on the right shoulder and right hand. The police have determined that the man was in his early thirty’s and of East-Indian descent. Anyone who can help identify the deceased is asked to call police.
