Three Gang Members Wanted by Police
Police are looking for three Belize City men for their affiliation with gangs. They are Kelvin Gongora, Ulide Allen, and Tevin James Cacho. The trio is wanted on the strength of a commitment warrant for being gang members. According to Commissioner of Police Chester Williams, these persons also have outstanding fines in the courts. Williams says the cracking down on gang members is part of the department’s crime-fighting strategy.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“We issued some wanted persons yesterday for some gang members who have been convicted. They were fined and the time to pay the fine has lapse. We have obtained the commitment warrant from the court and so we are now in search of those persons so they can go to Hattieville. It is part of our crime strategy. For the most part, gang members are the ones creating havoc in Belize City and so if we can get them behind prison then it is a plus for us. It is one less gang member off the streets.”
