Belize’s most wanted put behind bars
Belize’s most wanted criminal is tonight behind bars. Alerted by a tip from a neighbourhood resident, police descended on the area around Unity Street and Jane Usher Boulevard Tuesday night around eight. After a brief chase they finally caught up with twenty-two year old Stackle Monsanto. Monsanto, a resident of Kraal Road, had been convicted in absentia in the August twenty-second robbery of a Chinese businessman. He was also a suspect in a number of other crimes including the November seventh robbery of Vin Hong store on Euphrates Avenue and the November eighteenth stickup of the Shell station at mile two on the Northern Highway. A police release extended the department’s gratitude to those members of the public whose cooperation made the arrest possible.
