Shooting in San Ignacio; One Man Injured
A San Ignacio resident was shot just after ten on Saturday night in San Ignacio. Police say that Belizean Security Officer Leroy Supaul was heading home after a night of socializing when he was shot. He is now hospitalized in a stable condition. Here’s more from the police.

“Police visited the San Ignacio Hospital where they found twenty-two-year-old Leroy Supaul with gunshot injury to the body. Leroy Supaul reported that he was at Branch Mouth Road in San Ignacio when he stepped outside to go to his motorcycle when he heard several gunshots when he realized he had been shot. An investigation is ongoing at this time.”
