Activities set for Youth Week

Story Picture
Celebrating youth will be the focus for this year’s Youth Week, which will held from November twenty-seventh to December third. Icilda Humes, a youth development officer, says far too many youths are falling victim to the many social ills that exist in our society. Humes says a number of activities are planned for the week and is encouraging all youths to participate.

Icilda Humes, Youth Development Officer

“We feel that the gift of youth is the gift of life and that our young people need to celebrate it to their fullest. A lot of times in this day and age our young people are growing up too fast and they don’t have the time to really enjoy themselves as young people, to enjoy their youth. So we are encouraging them to celebrate their lives now in a positive way.”
