Changes at the Fuel Pumps
The novel coronavirus has caused the prices for crude oil and fuel to plummet in the international market. Some pump stations in the U.S. have lower prices to as much as ninety U.S. cents per gallon. Here in Belize, consumers can expect a little ease in their pockets. At midnight tonight, the pump price for diesel will decrease by ninety-nine cents to now retail at eight dollars and twenty-five cents per gallon. The prices for premium gasoline, regular gasoline, and kerosene remain at ten dollars and ninety-two cents, ten dollars and twenty-eight cents and six dollars sixty cents per gallon. It is expected that when new shipments arrive for these fuels, the prices will also drop.
