Robbery and Shooting in Bella Vista Village
Police are looking for four men who committed a robbery and shooting in Bella Vista Village earlier this week. On Monday, the assailants held up a security guard and robbed him of his cell phone and some money. The robbers then lured out another man from the southern village and when he tried to escape they shot him. Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero tells us more.
Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero, Deputy Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“Najun Vanegas, a security guard of Bella Vista, reported that he was heading home on a bicycle when he was ambushed by four male persons who proceeded to rob him of his personal belongings and cash. Thereafter, the robbers forced him to make a phone call to his landlord so that the landlord would come to that area. Shortly, thereafter, the landlord came to the area and that is when Najun Vanegas ran away and made good his escape from the robbers. At some point an attempt was made to apprehend the landlord and as a result he was shot once and thereafter he made good his escape and he proceeded to the southern regional hospital and he was treated and released.”
