Police Believe Robbery was Motive in Murder of Haitian National
In the murder of Haitian national Raymond Cherestal, the motive seems to be robbery. Commissioner Williams says that an ongoing investigation has not led to any arrests. The former cab driver was found murdered on the doorsteps of his Ladyville residence on the morning of April second. Cherestal was shot to the head.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“For the matter in Ladyville, the investigators have been on it and they have not been able to make any significant progress. Those two incidents, one in Ladyville we believe that robbery was the motive and the one in Punta Gorda, we have not been able to ascertain a true motive, but investigators continue to work on it.”
