Alleged triggerman cuts hair to avoid I.D.
While Richards and Kemp languish in Ladyville, police are running into trouble in their pursuit of the triggerman in the October twelfth murder. Last week a prime suspect in the killing was slated to appear before a witness in an I.D. parade, but on the eve of the appearance, the man managed to obtain a razor and cut off all the hair on his head and face, even his eyebrows. Sources close to the investigation tell News Five that the Police Department strongly believes that the suspect was assisted by one of the two officers on duty who went out and obtained the razor. The alleged murderer was being held in a cell at the Queen Street police station along with four other detainees. When a policeman opened the cell door on the morning in question, he was presented with a plastic bag containing a large quantity of hair. Police declined to comment on the incident or whether the I.D. parade proceeded as scheduled.
