P.U.P. Outraged About Video; Officers Should Be Removed from Department

Late this evening, the People’s United Party issued a statement in respect of the graphic video about which the complainant spoke at the top of the news. The P.U.P. says it has few words sufficient to describe its revulsion and outrage at the images. The P.U.P. continues that such abuse of citizens will never be tolerated and that the alleged persons involved do not deserve to wear the uniform of those sworn to protect and serve citizens. The P.U.P. also demands that an investigation be carried out on those involved to be removed from duty and from the department immediately. The Minister of National Security and the Commissioner of Police are urged to act swiftly to root out the deviant individuals and to determine if criminal charges can be filed against them.  The P.U.P. release ends with “At a time when our nation needs a return to humanity and unity, there is no room for these actions.”
