Police Allegedly Force Man and Woman to Have Sex While They Recorded

A state of emergency, amid the coronavirus crisis, remains in effect for the entire country of Belize.  The police are expected to enforce the law but tonight, many are questioning the scope of authority given to law enforcement during this time.  That’s because a very revolting and graphic video is in circulation which shows a man and a woman engaged in a sexual act while being goaded by several persons in the background.  On Monday morning, a Belize City resident, along with a mentally challenged woman, was reportedly standing in the area of Central American Boulevard near the Vernon Street stoplight when they were approached by a trio of armed and uniformed police officers.  The cops allegedly inquired what the pair was doing in that vicinity and suggested to them that they had been having sex.  According to the complainant, who visited our office this afternoon accompanied by his attorney, they were both intimidated and coerced into performing a sexual act while the officers recorded the encounter, prodded them and released the video.  If the allegation is so, then this incident is an inconceivable abuse of power at the hands of the men and women who swore to protect and serve.  The complainant, whose face is concealed, explained to News Five what happened that morning.
