John Briceño: “I find it disgusting”

A two-minute video posted online by the U.D.P. Standard Bearer for Orange Walk Central, Denny Grijalva is being shot down by the Leader of the Opposition and Orange Walk Central Area Representative John Briceño. In the video, a masked Grijalva tells viewers that his team is working on reaching out to residents and offer relief in the form of food items. He began in San Estevan Village but according to Briceño, Grijalva is giving out items donated by NEMO to his U.D.P. supporters only and other Belizeans are not benefitting.

“What is of most concern is that now here is standard bearer who is not even an elected representative is getting goods from NEMO. I was informed yesterday that he is getting rice, sugar and flour and a number of other stuff and the bananas that were given to government and now he is giving that to give to his supporters. My other colleagues have been telling me the same thing and I was telling the no, it is not happening but obviously it is happening. It is something that I condemn in the strongest of words. I find it disgusting that we are going to use this crisis for politics.”
