No arrests as yet in Geban murder case
It will be almost one week since the body of taxi driver Roy Geban, was found on the Western Highway with several gun shot wounds. The police so far have not arrested anyone for the crime, but say they have been following up on some leads and it won’t be long before their investigation comes to an end. Police say they have also been investigating into an incident that left another taxi driver seriously injured. Several days before Geban was murdered, Lincoln Webster, who works at the Plum Tree taxi stand, was at his post when he picked up two men. However, the men had other plans on their mind. Shortly after Webster departed on the job, the men held him up and shot him in the neck. Webster survived the brutal attack and today police say they strongly believe both cases are related, but have been unable to get any positive identification of the attackers. If you have any information that can assist the police in their investigation you are asked to contact the nearest police station.
