Courts pays winners, prepares for big draw
Six Belizeans representing the various districts of the country are two thousand dollars richer. They are winners in the third Courts Two Thousand and Win draw. They received their cheques this morning from Courts advertising and promotions assistant Danalee Gordon. News Five spoke with Gordon and Rosendo Gonzalez of Chunox Village in Orange Walk. Gonzalez said the money came in handy since he lost his plantation during Hurricane Keith.
Rosendo Gonzalez, Two Thousand Dollar Winner
“Things bad right now and I think it’s good because I could use that money to continue working for my children and everything.”
Ann-Marie Williams
“Tell me about your farm.”
Rosendo Gonzalez
“Yes, I lose my plantation, plantains, cocoa everything, fruits, vegetables in that hurricane that passed through the north.”
Danalee Gordon, Advertising/Promotions Assistant, Courts
“Shoppers had to be shopping with us from January up to now and their names were placed in raffle boxes and they were chosen earlier this month. They each won two thousand dollars.”
It’s every Belizean’s dream to own their own home and Courts Belize Limited will make that dream come true for one lucky Belizean in the new year. As part of the company’s Two Thousand and Win draw Courts will raffle a three-bedroom house and lot worth eighty thousand dollars. To be eligible for the draw all you have to do is shop at Courts and submit your raffle tickets.
Danalee Gordon
“The house is at Vista Del Mar and it comes with selected furniture and electrical items and it’s worth over eighty thousand dollars.”
Ann-Marie Williams
“Why that initiative on behalf of the company?”
Danalee Gordon
“We’re a caring company and we always pride ourselves on being corporate citizens and we care about our people.
The drawing for the house, which measures thirty-eight by twenty-six takes place on January third 2001.
