Temporary culverts installed on N. Hwy
Frustrated motorists have found that things are looking a little better this evening on the Northern Highway. A Ministry of Works spokesman told News Five that two eighteen inch culverts have been laid between miles three and four and this has eased the water pressure and raised the road enough to allow small vehicles to pass. Culverts have also been installed between miles four and five on the Western Highway. The ministry says permanent repairs will begin as soon as the waters recede.
