Cyclists Can Now Ride

Michael Peyrefitte

There is good news for cyclists tonight. That is because they were not allowed on the highways during the first thirty days of the state of emergency. Under the new relaxed measures, cyclists can resume riding during the specific hours identified under the state of emergency regulations. Cyclists, however, are not exempted from other requirements and must practice social distancing as well as wear face masks at all times.

Michael Peyrefitte, Attorney General

“We use to say that five to eight in the morning you are able to do jogging, running and walking. Come tomorrow morning people will also be able to bicycle for exercise purposes but for those people who are cyclist you must practice social distance protocols even when you are riding and maintain a minimum of six feet distance between persons while doing tht. So if you are going to ride make sure you are six feet apart from the next rider and make sure that you cannot ride two abreast; single file down the road. Essentially then you are allowed to now go and ride your bicycle but individual. You are not allowed to rain or exercise in a group of people. If you don’t do that the police will arrest because it is one of the riskiest rave to execerise. Remember when you are walking, when you are jogging, when you are running, when you are riding the bicycle you must have on a mask.”

Gyms, however, will remain closed at this time. As to game of chances, we also note that casinos remain closed and boledo is also on lock down.
