Are the Laws on Exercise Lopsided?

Richard ‘Dickie’ Bradley

According to Bradley, the laws, as they stand, are lopsided, granting citizens permission to do certain forms of exercise, but denying them from doing others.

Richard ‘Dickie’ Bradley, Attorney for Mark Neal

“I understand that in the rule, gymnasiums are closed.  Belize has only to my [mind], well I could be corrected but I only know of the Rogers Stadium, Public Gym and Body 2000.  Man why yo wahn close gymnasiums?  Just insist that in fact you keep your six feet distance.  Why yo cyant do that?  Then they said [that] people can walk in the morning between five and eight, you can even be out jogging with your dog or by yourself or your friend and keep your distance, but no cycling.  That da Animal Farm business.  Why yoh cyant ride wahn bicycle?  Now dehn change the rule, yo could ride wahn bicycle but you haffi keep and you must have on yo mask.  If I am riding a bicycle, who I could infect?  Yo mean another cyclist so fol ih wahn come right up in my face and so? When you go banging on Body 2000 and haul out people in there who are not breaking any of the law and when you go and close down merchants but you don’t charge anybody, we’re not stupid, we done know weh gaan on.  We done know weh gaan on with that.”
