Couple Charged for 16 Pounds of Weed

Two persons, charged jointly in connection with the discovery of sixteen pounds of marijuana, today appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court where they were granted and met bail in the sum of five thousand dollars each, plus one surety of the same amount.   Dale Saragosa and Sharen Thompson are charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply to Another after a search of their residence at mile two and a half George Price Highway last Thursday resulted in the discovery of the weed.

The prosecution did not object to bail and attorney Oscar Selgado was successful in attaining bail for the couple. Saragosa and Thompson are to return to court on July sixteenth.
