Belize City hit by three robberies
Police are investigating three separate robberies that took place in Belize City on Wednesday. The first incident unfolded at the bus shed by the Palotti High School on the Northern Highway. According to a 25-year old female student, she was sitting under the shed with another female friend waiting to catch a bus to go home when she was approached by a fair complexioned man. The robber held her at knifepoint and took a gold chain with medal valued at $250 and a graduation ring worth $175. Not long after that robbery, police received another report from the southside of town. A 29-year old technician told police that while riding his bicycle on Boots Crescent around 9:00, a Creole man robbed him of his gold chain with medal. But not long after police filed their report, a 14-year old student reported to the authorities that while riding his black mountain bike on Gabourel Lane, three Creole men approached him. One of the men then punched him in the stomach while the others robbed him of his bicycle, valued at $149. Police say they as yet have no suspects in any of the robberies.
