Two prison breakouts leave four on the loose
Tonight Dangriga police are looking for three inmates who escaped from their detention cells at the station. Fredrick Arzu, Chan Elijio and Jason Flores escaped sometime between 11:00 and midnight Wednesday by cutting the bolt for their cell’s lock with a hacksaw blade. 21-year old Arzu, who the previous day had been sentenced to 6 years for burglary is of fair complexioned, slim built, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. John Elijio is 21-years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs about 160 pounds and has his hair braided. Elijio had been sentenced to 5 years for burglary. Jason Flores, also known as “Blackout,” is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, slim built, dark complexioned and weighs around 175 pounds. Flores was remanded for the crimes of forcible abduction, rape and attempted murder. Police say the men are to be considered extremely dangerous. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of these escapees is asked to call the nearest police station. Meanwhile, police and prison officials are also looking for another inmate who escaped, this time from Hattieville Prison. According to Prison Governor Bernard Adolphus, Darwin Rubio was doing work at the senior citizens home in the village when he took off. He was serving a 5-year sentence for burglary and a 1-year sentence for damage to property.
