Double Murder in the South, Two Men Are Executed
The state of emergency has curbed the number of murders and other violence. But in the south today, two men were found murdered. The bodies of the men had gunshots to the head. The grisly discovery was made this morning behind a house on the Hopkins Road. The victims have been identified as boat captain, fifty-five-year-old tour guide operator Quintin Espinosa and seventy-year-old U.S.A. citizen Roland Burley. Espinosa was found laying face up with a gunshot wound to the forehead. One hundred feet away, Burley was found also lying face up with a gunshot wound to the left side of the head. He has been living in Belize and farming for two years. His wife is said to be overseas and because of COVID 19, has not been able to return. At the scene police found two nine-millimeter shells. While police are trying to solve this latest double murder, a friend of the victims says he might know who did it.

“His dream was to come and be self sustaining self sufficient farm here in the middle of the bush. He and his wife. His wife is in Germany. But she managed to fly to the States. She has been trying to come home ever since this COVID thing. She can’t get back. She is stuck in the states waiting for her man. Waiting to get back and now the man dead. (He was) very nice, mild, very friendly and sticks to himself. He is a colored American.”

“I have no idea. We don’t talk about those things. We only talk about farming and different things, how to raise animals and thing because he got dogs and another animals from us, some pigs, chicken and ducks. He was trying to set up other things.”

“How long was he staying here?”

“About two years. He one and his wife had to go back with her emergency and then COVID-19 start and he couldn’t get back.”

“So somebody else got killed her too?”

“Yes, Quentin Espinosa with the man shot in the head. That is a very good friend of mine because he and I used to hang out because my name is Quentin too. He use to hang around in Hopkins. I know the man long time too. And the next bally in Silk Grass, this all happened with a shotgun. I live on the farm like half way between here and Silk Grass and every couple of nights I have someone shooting a twelve gauge not far from my house. I would talk to them but I haven’t catch them yet but it is the same damn person because it is one of them young boy about twenty-five from Silk Grass because years a back the Brown family because they are originally from city committed some murders around here before. So I think it is one of the young boys and like I said they passed through my farm and I will catch them one of these days but I haven’t catch them as yet.”

“This is just random shooting. Nothing funny. This bally crazy you know. Robbery yes, the house is actually stripped. His house is absolutely stripped. I think this is someone else who has come in after they heard the man was dead. I think the shooting is totally different thing. To kill Quentin and this bally together this is just random shooting.”
